Preschools
I have been photographing children in preschools since 1981. I love
doing it and the kids seem to respond to
me also.

Please take a look at the
signs we have placed at your center. It
should show the theme we will
be using on picture day. Your picure will be better if you dress in a way
that is consistent with the
colors in the
theme. Some themes are very casual and others are more formal..
Please
do not ask the teachers to
dress your chidren unless you are certain
they do not object.
Some centers will take the good clothes off and put play clothes back on but it
is asking a lot to
ask your child's teacher to dress the kids twice.
Dress in clothes that have nice colors but are not too
busy.
Be careful with light pastels, our lights
tend to
wash them out.
I personally like the skin tones to be lighter in tone than the clothing because
it draws attention to the face.
I will use a hair brush if you send one. If you do not send one, I will use
a plastic brush that those unpleasant
little hitchhikers cannot adhere to.
Shoes will not show for one child unless I know
that you want them to show. For two or more children, they may
show on the smaller ones. We try to shoot to make the faces as large in
the photo as possible.
We do not mind photographing two or more children together but it will look
much better if the clothing colors
are coordinated.
Fishing Theme: Jeans or overalls look great with this
theme. If you have a hat you like, send it also. Have fun with this
one.
Teachers are able to buy picture packages of their children or grandchildren
for half price and to get a free
copy of their group group photo when they are taken.
The center is entitled to complementary staff ID cards and a wall composite
once each year.
When group pictures are taken, the center can get an extra copy of each group at
no charge.
Your facility is entitled to a portion of the proceeds of the picture sale.
The percentage varies depending
on a number of factors. If you are in doubt, give us a call.
